A child who has been raised well instinctively knows when to say thank you. Not because someone forces it out of them, but because gratitude is the natural response of a heart that recognizes love. When a father gives a gift, a good child doesn’t wait to be reminded; thanksgiving flows automatically.

Scripture echoes this truth: “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord” (Psalm 92:1).
Why? Because gratitude sounds good to God. It delights Him. It tells Heaven that you have not forgotten the source of your breath, your strength, your protection, or your progress. Thanksgiving is the language of a heart that can still see.

WHAT IS THANKSGIVING?

Thanksgiving is not a recital of “thank you.”
It is the expression of gratitude for:

  • What God has done

  • What God is doing

  • What God will yet do

A man who knows how to thank God for his present condition—even when it is not perfect—will always have another reason to thank Him again. Why? Because gratitude is the womb where new blessings grow. Until you celebrate God for the past, you cannot qualify for the next.

Thanksgiving is a key that opens doors.
It is a seed that never dies.
It is a posture that accelerates destiny.

WHEN THANKSGIVING BECOMES A LIFESTYLE

In September, God gave a prophetic word from Jeremiah 30:19–23:

“Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving…”

Who are these people?
They are the ones who have seen His goodness.
The ones He pulled out of bondage.
The ones He broke free from captivity.

Thanksgiving becomes the natural language of those who remember where God brought them from.

In Exodus 15:21, Miriam burst into a prophetic song because she saw the Red Sea split before her eyes. Not everyone saw the miracle at that depth. Some crossed and kept quiet. But Miriam refused to be silent—she responded with thanksgiving.

Are you among those who truly see the goodness of God?
Then proceed with thanksgiving.

THANKSGIVING POSITIONS YOU FOR MORE

Gratitude multiplies whatever you place it upon.
It increases the oil.
It stretches the bread.
It enlarges the little.
It turns captivity.
It completes miracles.

Every time you say “Lord, thank You,” Heaven records you as a child that can be trusted with more.

A FINAL CHARGE FOR YOU

May this season awaken the heart of thanksgiving inside you.
May you become that child who remembers, who appreciates, who celebrates the hand of God in every season.

As you obey the call to give Him thanks:

You will not remain small.
You will not remain stuck.
You will not remain forgotten.

Thanksgiving will lift you.
Gratitude will open your next door.
Praise will announce your new season.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
